Once you've registered your CloudVPN to the acirroplus+ portal and connected your Siemens to one of the LAN ports, you're ready to remotely access it.

Set up a VPN Connection to your CloudVPN Router
You can now use either TIA Portal, STEP7, or LOGO!Soft Comfort to connect to your Siemens. - Connect to your Siemens device.
For detail steps check out the sections below:
TIA Portal
- Open TIA Portal and select your device in the Project tree.
- Go to Online > Extended go online or Extended download to device.
- You can't go online with a Siemens HMI, but you can download any changes to it (follow the steps below) or see the screen via VNC.
- At PG/PC interface, select the TAP-Windows Adapter.
- Click Start search to search for your device. If no devices are found, try the following alternative method instead:
- If no devices are found, this can have several causes:
- TIA Portal may not send its PROFINET discovery packet (PN-DCP) over the VPN connection. Try restarting TIA Portal and if that doesn't resolve the issue, restart your computer entirely. Do not skip this step, as it has proven to resolve the issue in many situations.
- If your PLC is connected to a Siemens switch, that may unintentionally prevent your devices from being found. Try connecting the PLC directly to the edge gateway or replace the switch with that of a different manufacturer.
- If you have another CloudVPN gateway's on-site that you have connected with their LAN to each other, that may unintentionally prevent your devices from being found. Disconnected the LAN of one of the edge gateways.
- If you still can't find your device, try the following alternative method instead: Double-click the Access address field, enter your Siemens' IP address, and left-click anywhere else to search for your device.
- If no devices are found, this can have several causes:
- Click GoOnline or Load to respectively go online with or download to your Siemens, depending on your choice at step 2.
- If you get a prompt saying an IP address in the same subnet needs to be assigned, press No.
STEP 7
Unfortunately, there are no detailed instructions available. Simply connect as you normally do and troubleshoot if you're experiencing issues.
