Introduction
In many machine builder's network it is a requirement to your system time correct and in-sync with the devices in the entire network, the most common method today is to use the Network Time Protocol (NTP) method.
NTP is a networking protocol that is used for clock synchronization between different systems over packet-switching networks.
It is common in remote networks, engineers will configure outgoing rules for devices to connect to a Internet based NTP, however that usually means you have to allow going internet connection on your LAN network or setting up more detailed firewall rules to allow access.
Using the local NTP of the CloudVPN Router
Every CloudVPN router has a built in NTP Server that runs on default, it syncs its time every 24 hours over port 443 with the CloudVPN API Server.
Simply set NTP Server of your device to the CloudVPN's LAN IP and you are good to go. By using the CloudVPN Router as your NTP Server, there will be no need to enable outgoing internet connection for your LAN network.
Example on how to set on iX Developer
Head to the System tab on iX Developer and look for the SNTP Server name, simply add in the CloudVPN LAN IP.
